* We are collecting gently used items to open a thrift store. If you have anything you would like to donate, please contact us. Items must be clean, laundered (if washable), and in good repair.

* We now have gift cards available. Instead of picking out a pet for someone, give them a gift card for the adoption fee ($70.00) and they can pick out and pickup their newest family member. Or, if you know someone with a pet already, give them a gift card for a microchip ($25.00 for one, $10 for additionals).

* Ongoing is the Refrigerator Frame Magnets. Call 919-394-7706 for more information. These are picture frames of various siz1es that hold from three to eleven pictures, have vinyl slots to hold pictures, and hold to refrigerators, file cabinets, etc. Prices range from $5 to $18 and most come in white, bisque (cream), or black. * May ( Dates TBA) - Get Me Outta Here. Tractor Supply, 2901 Cashwell Drive, Goldsboro. PFFSAA partnering with Wayne County Pit Bull Rescue for a 24-7 lock-in until $2,000 is raised.

* January 5 - 31, 2010 - Come to Captain Kitty's Seafood Shack (formerly known as Shore Boys), located at 3831 US HWY 70 W, Goldsboro, to donate $1 for a kitty and enjoy some wonderful seafood!

* October 3,4, 2009 - Adopt-a-thon. Petsense, US 70 in Kinston. More details to come.

NOTE DATE CHANGE to Oct. 17th, 2009 -  3101 Cashwell Dr., Goldsboro (the old Cinema next to Allstars Family Fun Center) Truck Mania! Truck show for all open bed trucks. Categories for being judged, plus surprise categories. Fun for all. Interested in registering?  Click here !  Participants check in between 9 and 11am, judging from 11:30-3pm, awards/prizes/trophies 4-6pm.  Pre-registrations being taken until Oct. 10th.

* April 18, 2009: 11am-4pm: Car Wash. McDonalds/Hess at the corner of US 70 W and Claridge Nursery Rd., Goldsboro. Come get your car washed. $10 donation requested.

* April 11, 2009: 10am-4pm: Dog/cat Easter basket sale, microchipping, bake sale. Critter Connection, Royall Ave., Goldsboro. Come purchase a special Easter basket filled with goodies for your dog or cat, purchase a treat for yourself, and get your animal chipped!

* Saturday, July 26th, 2008: Microchipping Event at Pawsitively Pets, 2449 S. US 117 Hwy, Goldsboro. We will be doing microchipping for dogs and cats from 4 to 7pm. If your pet is lost or stolen, having a microchip makes it easier and faster for animal controls and veterinarians to get your pet home to you. Pre-registration is $15 for the first pet, $10 for each additional. To get a pre-registration form, call 919-394-7706 or pick one up at Pawsitively Pets before the 26th. On site registration is $25 for the first animal and $10 for each additional. The costs cover online registration, chip, and a collar tag.

* Tuesday, July 15, 2008 is Purrrfect Friends Feline Shelter Day at Cici's Pizza in Goldsboro! Eat at Cici's anytime between 11am and 10pm, write your name and ours on your receipt and put it in the clear box by the register. At the end of the day, Cici's gives us 10% of the total sales over their regular sales. We need all the help we can get with food, litter, supplies, and medical care. Please help us and eat out this week!
