Policies

• We are a no-kill shelter. Unless determination is made by our veterinarian that the animal has non-recoverable illness or injuries, or is deemed totally unadoptable and unreturnable to the wild, if it is feral, we will provide it a home until we find it a permanent one. There is a person out there for every feline, sometimes it just takes awhile for them to find each other.

• The purpose of PFFSAA is to provide shelter and medical care to abandoned, stray, injured, or surrendered cats/kittens, and to find them permanent, loving homes. Our adoption application is to help us make the best match for you and your new family member so that you have a rewarding lifetime together.

• We will not provide or donate any animal for use in labs, or other types of testing.

• We will hold specific felines only with a deposit. Our adoption fee is $70.00. This includes their spay/neuter, medical checkup, all shots, FeL testing, free health insurance for one month, and a microchip. The deposit fee is $30 per animal.

• We do not adopt animals during holidays. We will hold a deposit for a specific animal until seven days after the holiday. If arrangements have not been made to pick up the animal by that time, the deposit is nonrefundable.

• Payments can be made by cash, check, or money order.

• We make follow-up visits to adoptive homes to ensure that the new family member is adjusting.
